Tripping to the Circus Circus RV Park in Las Vegas Nevada

I’m sure you all will agree with me when I say it has been a long and trying year. As a person who loves to travel and does it often, I have really missed not leaving the state all year.

My husband and I are fully vaccinated and hopped into the RV for our first vacation in over a year! And to where else? To the fabulous Las Vegas Nevada!

There are not a lot of choices for RV parks on the Las Vegas strip, and of course that is where we always want to be. We decided to try the RV park at the Circus Circus hotel.

This hotel opened in 1968, it is one of the older hotels on the strip, but its still really nice and very popular among people with children.

ARRIVAL

When we drove up we actually had a hard time finding the RV Park. Turns out its nestled in the back off to the side. You really have to know where it is and do some walking to get to it from the strip. This may be a con for some people but for us its a Pro! This means that us, along with our RV, are safe from the many passerby’s on the strip.

Driving in you see the back side of the ‘big top’ building where you check in.

Here is the front. We pulled off to the side to check in and get our spot.

CHECKING IN

Very clean inside the check in area. This used to have a little grocery store in it but since the pandemic that has gone.

We have a small RV so we only need a small space. However, we prefer to be close to the pool so we got one of the 55ft spaces in the front row (seen in baby blue). We were able to pick the spot we wanted depending on availability of course.

PRICE

For the 55ft space our total cost for 5 nights was $306.12. That’s about $60 a night! In all our pre-RV years we have never stayed so cheap on the strip in Vegas! If we would have gotten the smaller space it would have been more like $43 a night.

There were alot of people staying here during the mid march time we were there. As you can see there are alot of spaces available. It was still nowhere near 50% capacity.

5 NIGHT STAY AT THE PARK

We had a nice view of the Circus Circus Casino to our Right and the Strat to our left. It was always very quiet here and we never had any issues throughout the 5 night stay.

We were just steps from the pool. I love all the palm trees! Especially the mini one next to our hook ups.

The nighttime was nice and tranquil. Its so relaxing to see everything lit up from the comfort of your own little RV. You definitely don’t hear the hustle and bustle from the strip.

Here is a few views from the windows of our RV. Very relaxing to wake up to.

POOL/HOT TUB

The pool and hot tub area were so nice. It was about 70 degrees and the water was perfect. We spent every afternoon here and were always alone! So much better than all the crowds at the casino pools. This pool is only for RV guests, guests of the hotel have their own pool. If you want to go to the hotel pool it is an additional $10 charge.

FOOD

We utilized the RV for a lot of our meals and tried a whole bunch of different things along the strip. If you don’t want to stray far from your RV, inside Circus Circus there are a lot of different places to eat. They no longer have a buffet due to the pandemic but there are a handful of places throughout the place that makes getting food when your tired easy and close by.

Due to the pandemic, most places were only open on the weekends so we didn’t get to try any. But we did get some St. Patrick’s Day donuts at Krispy Kreme and ate wonderful steaks at the Circus Circus Steakhouse.

THINGS TO DO CLOSE BY

A short walk from the RV park to the Strip places you by the Slots of Fun casino and next door is Resort World. Resort World has been a long time coming and is opening Summer 2021. This used to be miles of a fence after the Stardust was torn down in 2007. It looks like there will be a whole bunch of new things to eat and do here. I’m looking forward to it!

On the opposite side of Resort World is the Las Vegas Convention Center. They took down the Rivera Casino that used to be in this area of the strip. This convention center is 3.2 million square feet and has a Boring tunnel underneath it that will be used for transportation within the center. Pretty cool!

FOOD WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE

In this general area, our two favorite food finds are The Peppermill Restaurant and Tacos EL Gordo. These two places were so delicious and a must try when your in this area. There is also a Dennys close by and some other little hole in the wall places as you walk.

We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at this RV park. It was quiet, clean, well maintained, and in a great location. We will definitely stay here again!
