Rhythms of the Night in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
The final excursion in Mexico was to see the much talked about Rhythms of the Night show. This show included a boat ride to and from a private island, the show, and dinner on the island. They talked us into upgrading to VIP so we got the full experience on this excursion.
In order to board the boat that takes you to the island you have to go to the Port. There’s a fee and you wait with your group to get to the docks. As you can see there was a decent amount of security to get through, similar to an airport.
The docks were neat to see. They had cruise ships and pirate adventure boats in addition to all the other tour boats.
Our boat was nice and we sat at the very top. They served free drinks and appetizers during the entire hour ride to the island. There was music and everyone danced and enjoyed themselves.
After we reached the island we left the boat and were guided through the beautifully lit island trails to our 3rd row seats for the show.
Then the show started, as you can see we had great seats with our VIP passes. This was very similar to a Cirque du Soleil show and it told the legend of the 5 suns. These people were talented and fun. Very entertaining!
After the show they walked us through all these candle lit paths to our table for dinner. These pictures dont express how beautiful and Jungle themed this was.
Included as part of the VIP upgrade was seating next to the ocean. There were tiki lights and candles all around, soooo romantic and relaxing.
Dinner was a full buffet. Lots of things to choose from. It was hard to get pictures of the food on the buffet but there were choices of fish, chicken, beef, salads, fruit, rice, beans. And the dessert was delicious too!
During our dinner there were several guitarists playing relaxing music. All and all this was a very aesthetic dinner experience.
After dinner they called us back to the boat. Everyone was very tired but the crew of the boat put on a super fun show for the ride home.
I cant tell you how much fun this excursion was! From the fun entertainment on the boat ride, the ambiance on the island, the incredible performances in the show, and the wonderful dinner on the water this was by far my favorite excursion in Mexico!
