Mimi’s Glazed Strawberry Pie

Nothing screams summer like fresh strawberries! Strawberry pie has always been my favorite. I remember once I tried to make it by buying the glaze at Walmart, it tasted gross! So I asked my mom why and she said ” well of course we always use Mimi’s homemade recipe.” So from then on I make it using that recipe. I made this tasty treat this weekend and wanted to share it with you all.

Before making the pie I used a Tik Tok hack and washed my strawberries in vinegar, water, and salt.

Your supposed to see small little bugs come out of the water but I didnt see any, which was weird. But Im glad they are clean and ready to be sliced for the pie!

Before starting the glaze, bake an empty pie shell and set aside. . . I made my own so I wouldnt have to go to the store, but store bought is fine.

For the pie glaze put water, sugar, and cornstarch into a saucepan and boil for 1 minute.

Next you remove from the heat and stir in one package of strawberry jello mix. Then stir in your strawberries.

Place the strawberry mixture into the cooked pie shell and top with whipped cream. Chill for an hour.

Sooo refreshing! Enjoy!
