Favorite Places to Eat on the Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas is such a fun place to visit, its one of my favorite destinations. We usually visit a couple times a year. Not only is there so much to do there is so many delicious food choices. Below are some of our favorites, definitely not all of them, from our most recent trip.

IN N OUT BURGER

Everyone loves In N Out Burger and that includes us! Its cheap, great quality, and delicious. Here’s what we order:

The Double-Double Burger is a must have. The first time I ate here I ordered the single, I dont recommend that. The burger wasn’t as flavorful as the double. Paired with some fries this is delish!

Ive been watching TikToks where people order things off a “secret menu” so we did the same:

We made one of our orders “Animal Style.” This included both the Double-Double burger and the fries. Animal style adds the special sauce, grilled onions, and cheese to the order. Since the burger already has some of this, it makes it extra. This was delicious!

There are In N Out Burger locations all over Las Vegas and recently one has been added to the strip over by the high roller. This order cost about $13.

PEPPERMILL RESTAURANT

The Peppermill restaurant is an iconic place located at the North end of the strip across from Circus Circus. The ambiance inside is so retro, we really enjoy eating here. Fun fact: I found out about this place from Holly Madison’s book “The Showgirl Next Door: Holly Madison’s Las Vegas.

The food here is delicious and the plates are huge. This place isnt the cheapest but with the ambiance and the good food its worth it.

We ordered the 3 pancake meal with bacon and sausage. All their breakfast plates come with 3 eggs and 4 pieces of whatever meat you choose. As you can see the meat and eggs are of good quality and those pancakes are bigger than your head. The best pancakes Ive ever had btw!

We also ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. Again, served with 3 eggs. The steak was tender and delicious with their famous sausage gravy on top. The hash browns were soft with a little bit of crisp.

With tip this meal was about $55. So like I said before, its not the cheapest but nice to enjoy when we are on vacation.

TACOS EL GORDO

Everyone rants and raves about this place so we decided to check it out. When you go inside each line is for a different type of meat. We chose the Adobada pork line because it was the shortest.

Not only were these tacos delicious but look how the meat is sliced! The guy serving us was super fast! He cut the meat and added the garnish and sauce to our tacos perfectly. At $2.86 a taco this was a steal!

EARL OF SANDWICH

If you’ve never eaten at an Earl of Sandwich you are missing out! Their sandwiches are amazing. We get them every time we are in Las Vegas and at any Disney park in the US.

Tuna Melt: Albacore tuna salad, swiss & mayo. This was cheesy and creamy, very good.

The Italian: Salami, Capicola, ham, mortadella, mozzarella, roma tomato, Italian seasoning & dressing. This was good but reminded me of every other Italian sandwich Ive had.

The Original 1762: Roast beef, Cheddar & horseradish sauce. This one was our favorite, the horseradish gives it a great kick.

Its about $8 for a sandwich and they are hot and delicious. At the location on the strip I got myself this little glass of wine while we waited : )

PIZZA CAKE by Buddy V

This is a brand new quick eat pizza place located inside Harrah’s casino, created by Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro. Its kind of a hole in the wall and you can access it from the strip or inside the casino.

the pizza is cold and they heat it in the oven when you order. It looked kinda gross at first but this pizza was delicious!

We ordered 1 slice of supreme, 1 slice of pepperoni, and 1 square pepperoni (deep dish). They were all so good but I think my favorite was the deep dish, the basil took it to another level. On the supreme those white dollops are ricotta, so tasty! About $7 for a slice of pizza isn’t bad for the strip.

And don’t forget dessert! Right outside of the pizza place is the famous Carlo’s Bake Shop cake vending machine. At $8.95 we purchased the carrot cake. Very decadent and large, we ate it over several days.

TONY ROMA’S

Downtown on Fremont Street (the old strip) they have various specials at specific times of the day. From 4:30-6:30pm you can get a Prime Rib plate at Tony Roma’s, located inside the Fremont Hotel & Casino, for only $8.99! That’s a great deal no matter what city your in! So we went to try it out.

Since restaurants were only at 35% capacity, Tony Roma’s diverted half of it’s guests to the Paradise Cove Buffet. Since the buffets are shut down due to the pandemic, this was a smart use of space to accommodate more people.

Take a look at that 90s decor inside the Paradise Cove buffet where we were seated. We love that retro ambiance!

We ordered the Prime Rib special, cooked medium and a half rack of pork ribs. Everything was very good, we will definitely eat here again. Our final bill? With tip, $43.50!

HELLO KITTY CAFE

Ever since I was little I’ve been a huge fan of Hello Kitty. This little café is new to the strip and located in the Park MGM area towards the South end of the strip. They have souvenirs, pastries, teas, coffees, and specialty drinks. Look how cute!!

We ordered 3 of the strawberry Hello Kitty Pastries. They were delicious, even the bow, which was soft and candy like. Each were $6, which I thought was reasonable. The Hello Kitty tables next to the café were the perfect place to relax, eat, and listen to the nearby waterfalls.

This was only open Friday through Sunday 11am-5pm so we made a special trip to get some goodies.

THE STEAKHOUSE

The Steakhouse located inside the Circus Circus Casino is known for being one of the best places to get a steak on the strip. Ive seen review after review saying how good it is so we tried it for ourselves.

This is a reservations only restaurant. The ambiance was very candle lit romantic. There is a dress code so we dressed up. It was a romantic steak dinner for two and we loved it.

They brought us some nice fresh bread to start, sourdough and pretzel roll. The salads were fresh with a variety of vegetables. The homemade croutons were amazing.

We ordered the Ribeye on the bone cooked well and the Petite cut of Filet Mignon cooked medium. The steaks were cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. We chose baked & mashed potatoes as our sides and they were delicious too.

You can ask for the peppercorn or cheddar dipping sauces for your steaks at no additional charge. We tried the peppercorn and didnt really care for it. The steaks are delicious without it. There was a sauce that came with my asparagus, Im not sure what it was but I didn’t care for that either.

Our total was around $170. We will definitely eat here again.

There are so many places to eat in Las Vegas and I cant wait to go back and try more!
