Buc-cee’s a Texas Favorite

As we head out of Texas we were craving some Texas BBQ. So as we took in the sights heading for the New Mexico border, we also kept our eyes peeled for some quick service BBQ joints.

Passing Canton, TX there is a neat pumpkin patch called Yesterland Farm. Looks pretty cute, unfortunately it was closed.

Right away we found our BBQ, our first stop Bucee’s!

Buc-ee’s is a very large gas station that also sells various food and supplys. You can see Buc-cee from a mile away.

This place not only is famous for their bbq but they have TONS of other things

Its so big in here and takes alot of time to see it all. After browsing for a bit it was time to get some food. They had already made bbq sandwiches so we got some brisket, turkey, and pork ones to try. Couldn’t go without some Beaver chips and a fried apple pie too!

These sandwiches are sooo good! Very convenient as a grab and go too! Buc-cee’s does not provide seating so we had to eat these in our RV. My favorite was the chopped brisket, mmmmmmm.

Oh but we didn’t just get sandwiches! The Jerky counter was massive and they also had roasted nuts. . .like at the fair!

The Cinnamon glazed roasted nuts were delicious! The jerky was good, it was very thick though and I prefer a little thinner. Seasoning was tasty.

Everyone was so friendly, we really had a great time here! If you ever come across a Buc-cee’s definitely make time to stop!

Here’s some of our purchases 🙂 (had to grab us a Buc-cee’s sticker for the RV fridge)
